ROYCO® 81MS is a gray-black, high-temperature semi-fluid silicone lubricant containing microfine molybdenum disulfide. It is designed for slow-speed metal-on-metal lubrication and anti-seize protection in demanding high-temperature applications.

Overview

ROYCO® 81MS is a polysiloxane-based synthetic lubricant formulated with microfine molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂). The solid lubricant particles help form a durable lubricating film on metal surfaces, making the product suitable for slow-speed sliding applications and threaded assemblies exposed to high temperatures.

The lubricant can provide effective lubrication at temperatures up to approximately 750°F and anti-seize protection on threaded components at temperatures up to approximately 1400°F.

ROYCO 81MS also contains oxidation and corrosion inhibitors to help protect metal components during service.

Important Use Information

ROYCO 81MS is not intended for anti-friction bearings. The product should be stirred or mixed before use if settling has occurred. It may stain yellow metals, so material compatibility should be confirmed before application.
