This electrically conductive, corrosion-inhibitive aircraft sealant is designed to provide environmental sealing and corrosion protection on aluminum alloys and between dissimilar metals. It has a service temperature range from -67°F to 250°F, with intermittent exposure up to 360°F. The two-part material can be applied using an extrusion gun or spatula.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including carbon black (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size [= 10 micrometers]) and titanium dioxide (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size), which are known to the State of California to cause cancer. PR-1764 Class B is an electrically conductive, corrosion-inhibitive aircraft sealant. It has a service temperature range from -67°F (-55°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 360°F (182°C).
The cured sealant helps maintain electrical continuity in aircraft applications and provides long-term EMI/RFI protection. It also helps inhibit common causes of corrosion on aluminum alloys and between dissimilar metals.
The cured material is resistant to prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gasoline. PR-1764 Class B is a two-part, nickel-filled, manganese dioxide-cured Permapol® P-3 polythioether compound.
The uncured material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It provides excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates when correctly prepared and primed with PR-148 Adhesion Promoter where required.
