This two-part fuel tank sealant is designed for aircraft applications requiring a 2-hour working life. It operates effectively within a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F) and is supplied in a 6 oz cartridge containing approximately 3.5 oz of sealant.

Overview

PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto PR-1440 Class B is a two-part fuel tank sealant with an approximate 2-hour application life. It consists of Part A in liquid form and Part B in solid form.

The sealant has a specific gravity of approximately 1.57 and a service temperature range from -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F). Part A has a boiling point of approximately 360°C. Relative density is approximately 1.88 for Part A and 1.57 for Part B.

Each 6 oz cartridge contains approximately 3.5 oz of sealant.
