This two-part Class B fuel tank sealant is designed for aerospace applications. Part A is supplied as a black liquid and Part B as a beige solid. The sealant has a service temperature range from -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F) and is supplied in a 6 oz cartridge.

Overview

PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto Class B fuel tank sealant is a two-component formulation consisting of Part A and Part B. Part A is a black liquid and Part B is a beige solid. The mixed material has a specific gravity of approximately 1.56.

The sealant is designed for use in aircraft fuel tank applications and provides strong adhesion to common aircraft substrates. Once cured, it maintains elastomeric properties after exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gasoline.
