Description

This two-part fuel tank sealant is designed for aircraft applications, providing effective sealing for integral fuel tanks and fuselage areas. It has a service temperature range from -65°F to 250°F, with intermittent exposure up to 275°F. The low-sag, thixotropic paste cures at room temperature and provides strong adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including carbon black (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size [= 10 micrometers]), titanium dioxide (airborne, unbound particles of respirable size) and toluene, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Overview

PPG Aerospace / PRC-DeSoto PR-1440 Class B is an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant. It has a service temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C).

This material is designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications. The cured sealant maintains elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

PR-1440 Class B is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound. The uncured material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
