P/S 870 Class B-2 is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide corrosion-inhibitive sealant designed to protect aluminium alloys and dissimilar metals in aircraft applications. It provides a durable protective barrier, strong adhesion to aircraft substrates and good flexibility across a wide service temperature range.

Overview

P/S 870 Class B-2 is a corrosion-inhibitive aerospace sealant designed to help prevent the formation and progression of corrosion on aluminium alloys and between dissimilar metals.

It has a service temperature range of -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent exposure up to 275°F (135°C).

The cured sealant maintains elastomeric properties after limited exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

P/S 870 Class B is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound. The uncured material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula.

Part number PS870B2 cures to form a resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates. It is available in two-part kits and Semkit® cartridge configurations.
