P/S 870 Class B is a corrosion-inhibitive aerospace sealant designed to protect aluminium alloys and dissimilar metals from corrosion. The two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide formulation cures to form a resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

Overview

P/S 870 Class B is a corrosion-inhibitive sealant designed to create a protective barrier that helps prevent the formation and progression of corrosion on aircraft structures.

It is particularly suited to aluminium alloys and areas where dissimilar metals are joined. The cured sealant provides long-lasting corrosion protection while maintaining good elastomeric properties after limited exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline.

P/S 870 Class B is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound. The uncured material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula.

Part number PS870B1-2 cures to form a resilient seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

Important: This product is intended for interior and exterior aircraft corrosion protection and is not suitable for integral fuel tank sealing.
