Ardrox® AV 40 is a corrosion inhibiting compound designed to protect commonly used aerospace metals and alloys. It forms a transparent, heat-resistant, dry and firm protective film, making it suitable for high-temperature aircraft applications.

Overview

Ardrox® AV 40 is a corrosion inhibiting compound developed for the protection of commonly used aerospace metals and alloys.

It produces a colourless, heat-resistant, dry and firm film and is designed for use in areas exposed to elevated temperatures.

Typical applications include engine components, pylons, cowlings and other aircraft areas exposed to temperatures of up to 150°C, with short-term exposure of up to 210°C.

Because the protective film is colourless, Ardrox® AV 40 may also be used on exterior aircraft surfaces exposed to hot exhaust gases, including areas around APU exhaust outlets.
