AeroShell Fluid 31 is a synthetic hydrocarbon-based hydraulic fluid developed for aircraft, ordnance and missile systems. It is dyed red for identification and provides improved fire resistance compared with conventional petroleum hydraulic fluids.

AeroShell Fluid 31 is recommended for systems operating from approximately -40°C to +205°C and is suitable for use in applications including autopilots, shock absorbers, brakes, flight control systems, hydraulic servo-controlled systems and other systems using compatible synthetic elastomer seals.
